Promoting emotional wellbeing
to support optimal clinical outcomes
It’s widely recognized that physical and emotional wellbeing are crucial for the overall health of companion animals. Emotional wellbeing also plays a key role in achieving the best outcomes for animals undergoing medical procedures.
With the demands on veterinary practices today, providing the public with guidance on meeting both the physical and emotional needs of their pets can be challenging. That’s why Pet Remedy, in collaboration with Veterinary Surgeon and Behaviourist.
Dr. Amber Batson, is launching
Emotional Wellbeing Matters —
an accessible resource to raise awareness of emotional and physical wellbeing in companion animals.
Focusing on medical procedures and the general veterinary experience,
this initiative aims to support practices and enhance public understanding
of how to better support their animals.
The heart of this initiative is simplicity. A straightforward leaflet for practices to hand out will include basic information and a link to an online platform featuring videos, downloadable information sheets, pre- and post-op advice, and guidance for animals struggling with practice visits. Over time, this resource will grow, and we welcome feedback from veterinary practices on additional content.
