The wipe did seem to keep him calmer

So popped yo your stand yesterday at crufts, so i tried the wipe on my tortoise who was gifted to me a few weeks ago, he has had a trauma to his eye which went untreated and the body has attacked the eye, unfortunately he’s too small to have it removed and stitched up. So daily cleaninng for the next 10 years until he’s bigger and can have the operation, the wipe did seem to keep him calmer guess I’ll be purchasing some tomrrow..#petremedy

I’ve used it with animals from dogs and cats, to bearded dragons and hedgehogs

Pet remedy is brilliant, I’ve used it with animals from dogs and cats, to bearded dragons and hedgehogs. It seems to work on them all, and the local rescue centre are getting through dozens of bottles and plug ins.
Don’t expect a 100% calming effect immediately, nothing works that well, but it should at least take the edge off. With bonfire night coming up, it’s best to start dosing the house and especially your pet’s bed/crate/room a week beforehand to get the best effect.

Questions & Answers

Compared to mammals, there are very few studies on the therapeutic effects of natural herbal plants in reptiles.

Pet Remedy clinical studies have been completed to show efficacy in a wide range of species including cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, and pigs.

Reptiles first appeared on Earth 300 million years ago. Some of these reptiles split off to become birds 200 million years ago. Mammals emerged as a separate lineage 100 million years ago.

All these animals are vertebrates (they have a backbone) and all share the same basic anatomical plan for their brains and nervous systems.

Cytoarchitectural studies (the study of the cellular composition of the central nervous system’s tissues) show reptiles have complex brains analogous to birds & mammals.

This means reptiles have the same complement receptor families, including adrenaline/noradrenaline, cortisol, dopamine, serotonin, acetylcholine, glutamate, and GABA (both –A & -B types) as mammals and birds.

In veterinary medicine, many of the drugs used in mammals & birds are also used in reptiles for pain control, sedation, anaesthesia & other medical conditions.

When molecules from the unique blend of Pet Remedy plant oils bind to the reptile’s olfactory receptors, they are converted into electrical signals. These signals travel upward in the olfactory nerves to the olfactory bulb, and on into the lateral cortex. The lateral cortex is dedicated to translating what the odours mean. The olfactory system is closely associated with the emotional limbic system.

This supports how Pet Remedy can be effective in helping calm and develop emotional wellbeing in reptiles.*

This is further supported by positive testimonials from reptile owners.

how pet remedy works

Unlike most other natural calming supplements, Pet Remedy is not ingested. This indirect application and low concentration of active ingredients in the Pet Remedy blend is especially important for reptiles due to their small lung capacity.

Calming Spray – Never spray directly on or in the vicinity of a reptile. Spray on a cloth and wipe the inside of vivarium glass. Spray on fingers when handling an anxious reptile.

Calming Wipes – Wipe the inside of vivarium glass. Gently wipe under chin of reptiles to help with bonding.

Plug Diffuser – Use in the same room as your vivarium to allow constant slow release of low concentration actives into the surrounding area.

A new study has just come out about how Pet Remedy can be really effective in supporting emotional well-being for reptiles, which concluded – “Exposure to Pet Remedy was associated with a significant reduction in stress behaviours observed during handling”
