The pet remedy plug in works great (we occasionally use the spray too, on dog bed before they settle for night) it has a pepper type smell as you walk passed it but doesn’t spread throughout the house. It’s helping prepare my dogs for the fireworks. Highly recommend for dogs that have anxiety
